Anthracite is a hard, glossy, black coal, which has amorphous structure and angular shape. The media is mined, crushed, and sieved to produce Anthracite filter media that meet or exceeds international standards such as AWWA B100-1 or EN12909 - 2005. Anthracite is used as upper layer of dual or triple media filters, its relative low density good layers separation and higher solid retention within upper layers of filter media
Anthracite can be used in conventional, direct, or mixed-use filters. It is used in all gravity, or pressure filters.
To distinguish our products, we add value to Anthracite filter material by achieving the following goals:
The following parameters are approximate, properties may slightly vary depending on natural material properties and whether regular or low-density Anthracite is chosen.
The following media curves shall be provided together with quotation:
A. Unless application-specific water properties are provided, all media curves are provided assuming the below water properties:
B. This Technical Datasheet is generic and standard one. Once it is decided in accordance with specifications or buyer choice, final technical datasheet will be fin tuned to feed water type and Anthracite density.
